Luciana, a kosher Italian dairy restaurant has been a story of success since its opening in June 2008, as stated by restaurant critique, Yoad Ben Yosef:
"Meticulous Luciana gives honor to the Italian kitchen …"
Luciana is located in an ancient 19th-century building on Emek Refaim Street, in the heart of the German Colony. The owners succeeded in integrating classical elements of authentic Jerusalem stone and Arab floor tiles with geometrical decorations into the modern design of the inner hall, giving guests a sense of sitting in Jerusalem and feeling as in Europe.
The restaurant includes a spacious yard with tall eucalyptus trees that impose a sense of charm on the surroundings.
The central area has a wooden section and glass walls, bringing the vibrant exterior inside. Old and elaborate light fittings, oversized wood furniture and light-colored curtains impart a feeling of both stylish chic and warmth.
In the true spirit of the Italian tradition, Luciana boasts home-baked pastries and breads, and aromas that fly you off to faraway Tuscany.
Luciana's menu is based on recipes of the boot country, offering a wide variety of kosher delicacies, homemade by chef Aviram Dotan and his skilled staff: excellent breakfasts, such as Sicilian eggs benedict, with asparagus and Parmesan cheese on toast, special portions of high-quality cheese and unique salads, a variety of baked goods, such as eggplant bruschetta and sour cream, foccasia and buffalo pizza, mouthwatering entrées, such as artichoke hearts in lemon, fresh fish prepared in a variety of ways, salads that make one's mind run wild, such as Arancino, Antonio and Feta Italiano, and a selection of delicious pasta dishes – wild mushroom fettuccini, leek and sweet potato pepperdella, beetroot tortellini, and much, much more.
A VIP room on the second floor can accommodate up to 45 people, with a facilities for lectures and presentations.
Luciana guests can choose between sitting in the open garden or the relaxing and intimate inner hall.
Luciana starts the day at 08:00 with amazing breakfasts, and closes when the last guest leaves.
Luciana is an esthetic, culinary and cultural work of art, giving you a full sense of being abroad. The charm, pleasant atmosphere, elegant design and meticulous attention to each and every meal bring you back to Luciana again, and again, and again. |
